Interview to Matteo Nicodemi, R&D and project engineer

We interviewed Matteo Nicodemi: part of our team since 2016, he deals with designing and developing new innovative solutions.
Find out his story and his vision of future paths through the answers he gave us.

Could you explain what your job is about and what do you deal with?

My main role as a project engineer is to study, develop and create new products aimed at meeting the needs of a costantly evolving market. Solutions that must satisfy technical and qualitative standards, but also represent Inoxa’s story.

Could you tell us more about your journey here at Inoxa?

I joined this family in 2016 after I graduated at university and worked for a few years in a company operating in the same field, but different at the same time. I’m using the word “family” because, since the very first time, I got positive vibes from both the overall enviroment and my colleagues that were always professional and well-prepared. Of course, everything was stimulated by the firm presence of the owner. The technical know-how coming from my previous job allowed me to immediately start projecting, and that’s how I got to present the updated version of item 860X,one of Inoxa’s main products, at my first tradeshow. Ever since that moment it’s been a series of one new product after another and challenges that brought me here.

What does innovation mean to you?

I think that to innovate means to evolve; it’s being able to face new challenges without letting the market rule you, but changing it instead. When running into problems, experience leads us towards solutions that have proved to be successful in the past, avoiding all different innovative approaches. So here it is: to me, innovation means to approach the world from an always different point of view.

What are the main current trends in Italy?

Through the eyes of an engineer, Italy is living a moment of strong vitality: many changes are occurring and therefore there are new needs to meet. The Kitchen world is looking for new shapes and materials for base units and cabinets that are getting taller and taller; but the biggest revolution concerns Wardrobe and Bathroom, whose accessories are now requested more than ever.

How does Inoxa manage to offer trending solutions anticipating future challenges?

The secret lies in a strong collaboration beween technical and commercial department, in an ongoing exchange of information that traces the evolution of every single product.

What’s the one thing that should never be missing in an Inoxa project?

The meticoulous research of improvement, that would be product quality, optimization of production processes and minimization of enviromental impact. Alll aimed at maximizing the user experience.

Have you already traced the future opportunities of growth and evolution?

Basing on the market, future looks full of new changelles and opportunities to grow both as a person and as a company: we will be ready to face them all.
