< backInoxa at SICAM 2024: Interview with Alberto Bartolucci
From October 15 to 18, the 2024 edition of SICAM, the International Exhibition of Components, Semi-Finished Products, and Accessories for the Furniture Industry, took place. Inoxa participated as an exhibitor, marking an important opportunity to engage with clients, present new products, and observe industry trends. We interviewed Alberto Bartolucci, head of sales, communication, and marketing.
-
How was this edition of SICAM for Inoxa? Are you satisfied with the feedback from visitors?
It was undoubtedly an interesting event. In terms of attendance, we recorded a 6% increase compared to the previous edition, so I would say our final report is positive.
Exposicam is one of the most important fairs in the world and has always been a source of motivation for improvement. This year, too, it provided us with valuable insights that we’ll carry forward for the future.
-
What were the most frequent feedback comments from visitors regarding the new products you presented?
The main attraction was certainly the Wardrobe (Ipnos collection), where the new “Easy Dress” garnered a lot of interest. Thanks to its downward movement mechanism, it keeps even the highest clothes easily accessible.
Finally, in the Laundry section, the “Limpieza” kit attracted the most interest. Although it wasn’t the first time we showcased this product, it remains highly sought-after by visitors. -
Was there a product or line that attracted more attention than the others? If so, why do you think that was?
The collection that generated the most interest was the “Ikona”, which expanded at SICAM with the addition of “Murano”, “Selva” and “Etna”. Specifically, Murano and Selva, both new to the market, seem likely to become the must-have lines in Italian kitchens in the coming years. -
What insights or ideas did you gather from this edition of SICAM? Are there new trends or market demands that particularly caught your attention?
This edition of SICAM did not reveal any revolutionary innovations, but it did highlight how many companies are focusing on product restyling. This trend seems to reflect a market demand for greater attention to aesthetic detail and personalization, aimed at evolving existing collections, enhancing perceived quality, and adapting design and materials to align with current consumer preferences.
I believe this will serve as the foundation for what we’ll present at future fairs. -
Looking ahead, how do you plan to apply the feedback received and the trends observed at SICAM to Inoxa’s upcoming product developments?
Looking to the future, the feedback gathered and trends observed at SICAM will guide us toward an even stronger focus on design and product personalization. The general interest in restyling confirmed the importance of enhancing both the aesthetics and functionality of our products while maintaining the high quality that sets us apart. The appreciation our new products received from visitors reassures us that we are on the right track.
There are no real secrets; we will continue to invest in our technical capabilities and in upgrading our equipment to ensure increasingly higher quality products, all while keeping costs in check.
In closing, I’d like to extend my sincere thanks to our commercial and technical teams (including the purchasing department) and to all the staff who participated in the event. These were intense days, both for organizing and setting up our booth, which was widely considered the best at the fair. Thanks also to the technicians who sacrificed their Sundays to dedicate themselves to installation and dismantling.
A truly amazing and cohesive team united by the same goals.
