Interview with Emanuele Cantori, Logistics Manager at Inoxa

We interviewed Emanuele Cantori, who told us what it means to be the Logistics Manager at Inoxa.

  1. Can you tell us what your role as Logistics Manager at Inoxa concretely involves?

I coordinate the entire logistics flow: from order preparation to shipping. I ensure that materials and timelines are aligned, maintaining constant contact with production, the sales office, and the warehouse.
  2. What are the key activities you manage every day to ensure the proper functioning of the company’s logistics?

I organize the picking process, checking material availability. I collaborate with the various production departments to retrieve any missing components and monitor deliveries through the management system. My goal is to make sure every order is ready and on time.
  3. Logistics is a crucial link in the production chain: which aspects do you pay the most attention to in order to ensure efficiency and punctuality?

I pay close attention to inventory management, space organization, and the correct preparation of pallets and loads. Precision and order are essential to ship on time and without errors.
  4. In recent years, how has the work in the logistics department at Inoxa evolved?

We have invested in process digitalization and picking traceability, making activities faster and safer. With the new logistics facility, we optimized spaces and improved flow management.
  5. In your opinion, what is the key factor that makes a well-organized logistics system truly effective?

The ability to plan and always keep a clear view of priorities. And above all, teamwork: efficient logistics exist only thanks to collaboration and dialogue between departments.
  6. What are the most significant challenges you face daily in your work?

The main challenge is managing daily variability: urgent orders, last-minute requests, incoming materials, and simultaneous activities to coordinate while ensuring precision in every phase. It requires constant attention and quick decision-making.
  7. Is there a project or improvement recently introduced that you are particularly proud of?

I am particularly proud of the activation of the new warehouse locations and the organization of spaces in the new logistics hub. We defined specific areas for each component and optimized the layout to make picking smoother. This project has already improved operational efficiency and allows us to prepare loads more quickly, neatly, and safely.
  8. Logistics is also teamwork: how do you coordinate and motivate the team to ensure efficiency and precision?

I strongly believe in direct communication and constant dialogue with the team. Every day I interact with the operators, listen to their needs, and value their suggestions: those who work on the field have a crucial perspective for improving processes.
  9. Looking to the future, what do you think the priorities should be to continue growing and improving this sector within Inoxa?

The priority is to continue investing in digitalization and in optimizing spaces and logistics flows. With the new facility we have laid solid foundations; now the goal is to make processes increasingly integrated, traceable, and automated. At the same time, it will be important to continue training and involving the team, because technologies are essential, but it is the value of people that truly makes the difference.
