Interview with Federica Frittelli, General Accounting Manager
We interviewed Federica Frittelli, who shared what it means to be the General Accounting Manager at Inoxa.
-
Tell us about your role at Inoxa: what are your main responsibilities as the General Accounting Manager?
At Inoxa, I manage and control accounting, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of accounting operations with current regulations. Some of my main responsibilities include recording journal entries, controlling and reconciling accounts, monitoring the proper maintenance of accounting books, preparing and closing the annual financial statements in collaboration with the administrative manager, as well as preparing tax returns and mandatory communications, and managing relationships with credit institutions for operational matters within the administrative and accounting fields. -
How did you come to take on this role, and how has it evolved over time?
I was hired in 2002 to manage suppliers’ payments, when Inoxa was much smaller but starting to build a more solid structure necessary for entering foreign markets. Later, thanks to the strengthening of the organization and the skills I acquired in my previous job at a consulting firm, I was gradually entrusted with tasks that led me to my current role. -
Have you noticed any changes in accounting processes thanks to technological innovation?
Technological innovation is profoundly transforming accounting processes, bringing efficiency, automation, and greater security. Accounting software automates repetitive tasks such as invoice recording and bank reconciliations, allowing professionals to focus on financial analysis and decision support, rather than manual tasks. -
What part of your job do you find most stimulating and rewarding?
Continuously deepening my knowledge of tax regulations, accounting principles, and financial management, as well as being a point of reference for solving accounting issues from other departments, are definitely some of the most rewarding and stimulating aspects of my job. -
Inoxa is a company that values people and their contributions. How do you feel as part of the team, and how does collaboration with other departments impact your work?
Feeling part of the team is crucial because general accounting is not an isolated activity but interconnected with all other departments within the company: with human resources for payroll management and employee-related obligations, with the sales department for monitoring receipts to ensure proper credit management, and with the purchasing department to ensure correct invoice registration and compliance with payment terms. -
What are, in your opinion, the essential qualities for someone working in accounting in a structured company like Inoxa?
Accounting in a structured company like Inoxa requires precision. It's important to avoid mistakes that could have fiscal or financial consequences, and at the same time, it requires planning, which is essential for managing administrative and tax deadlines. It's also crucial to stay updated on tax regulations and accounting principles, and to be adaptable to new technologies and accounting automation tools. -
Looking to the future, what challenges or goals would you like to achieve in your role at Inoxa?
My main goal is to strengthen my skills in advanced financial and economic data analysis for better financial planning and for defining long-term goals, through informed and strategic management of economic resources.
